Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a fun weekend!!
Friday night we went to our second Mariner's game of the year. Although we didn't get to see Jr. face The Big Unit, we still managed to have a great time. We had fantastic seats and the Mariner's beat Randy Johnson and the Giants 2-1. Woohoo!

Saturday morning we left for our camping trip! We stayed up at Colonial Creek on Diablo Lake. It was BEAUTIFUL. Not a single cloud in the sky alllllll weekend. It was approx. 75+ all three days. We had great company, tons of yummy food, tasty beverage and the most gorgeous views! If you've not been up there - go immediately. Everywhere you look are these amazing views. Mountains, waterfalls, and clear blue/green water.

One of our camping pals had a boat, so we got to do a bit of exploring around the lake:
Happy as a couple of clams.
Harley is definitely a boat dog.

First Mariners Game of the Year

Saturday night we went to our first Mariner's game of the year! We watched the Mariner's lose to Boston 5-3. Honestly, I didn't even care. Why? Because I got to see my Griffey (yes, my Griffey) for the first time in years!! It was a beautiful day for a ball game.
We even got to sport our new M's attire. No Mariner game would be complete without a trip to the Pyramid beer garden first!

We are going back on Friday to watch the Giants. We hope that Randy Johnson pitches. How cool would it be to see Jr face Randy?

I hope everyone else enjoyed the nice weather this weekend!

Baby Oliver - Part II

On my lunch break I was able to run over to the hospital and meet Oliver. I tell you what he is just the most peaceful and serene baby. Not to mention handsome. He has my heart - I'm in love!

Baby Oliver

Wow, what an amazing story this boy will have. Last night, my dear friend Jamie gave birth to her (and her husband Derek's) first child, a baby boy named Oliver Cash. Words cannot begin to describe the joy that we all feel for Jamie and Derek. A number of years ago they were told that biological children would more than likely not be an option for them. However, they have managed to change their story. Perhaps it was their hope and desire to have children. Or perhaps the Cosmo’s finally realized they'd made a mistake. I won't ever question how or why Oliver came to us, I will always just be happy that he is here.

As usual, my thoughts on this particular subject (as they are with most others), are very similar to Rachel's. She wrote an amazing letter to Oliver last night that I wanted to share. I could not even begin to more accurately account for how special this day is. She so eloquently described how deserving Jamie and Derek are of this miracle and how happy we are as friends and family to be apart of their amazing story.

Oliver Cash

I cannot wait to meet this little man (hopefully today!). He is a miracle. With all else that is completely wrong in this world, he is right. That makes everything else a little easier to live with.
